Our dedicated Facilities Team ensures that all spaces are clean, well-maintained, and fully accessible, adhering to ADA standards and promoting comfort and safety for students, staff, and visitors alike. Beyond routine maintenance, they proactively create environments that encourage exploration, creativity, and collaboration, making every space at ELI a place where students feel valued and empowered.

Jose Morell

Operations/Facilities Coordinator & Site Officer

Jose Morell serves as an Operations/Facilities Coordinator & Site Officer at Embrace Learning Institute, where he ensures the campus remains safe, functional, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors.

Jose brings a wealth of technical knowledge and problem-solving expertise, holding an Associate Degree in Computer Network Engineering and drawing on 12 years of hands-on experience in the U.S. Army. His military background instilled a strong work ethic, adaptability, and a solutions-oriented mindset that he applies to every maintenance challenge. Although his primary role focuses on maintaining the facilities, Jose is eager to engage with students and support their learning environment whenever possible. Outside of his professional responsibilities, he actively coaches youth football, mentoring young athletes and helping them develop teamwork, discipline, and confidence both on and off the field. In his personal life, Jose enjoys hands-on projects, whether repairing cars, tackling home improvements, or playing football with his son. He has a passion for continuous learning and often spends his free time exploring new topics, watching movies, or diving into educational content online. Jose’s dedication to service, mentorship, and problem-solving makes him a valuable member of the ELI team.

Thomas Farhner

With over ten years of experience in management roles across construction and sales, Thomas brings strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solutions-focused mindset to his work. Beyond his professional background, Thomas’s commitment to ELI’s mission is deeply personal. Growing up alongside his younger brother, who has ODD and ADHD, gave him firsthand insight into the importance of structure, consistency, and supportive environments for neurodivergent individuals. This perspective informs the care and intentionality he brings to maintaining campus spaces that meet the diverse needs of ELI students. At ELI, Thomas works behind the scenes to support daily operations, coordinate facilities needs, and help create environments where learning can happen safely and smoothly. His blend of operational expertise and personal understanding of neurodiversity makes him a valued member of the ELI team and an important contributor to the school community.

Robert Sparks

Facilities Coordinator

Robert Lee Sparks is a highly skilled construction professional based in Everett with over 15 years of hands-on experience in both residential and commercial projects. Known for his versatility and strong attention to detail, Robert has built a reputation for delivering high-quality craftsmanship across a wide range of trades, including carpentry, drywall, flooring, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work.

Throughout his career, Robert has demonstrated the ability to manage projects from concept to completion, consistently delivering results that meet both structural and aesthetic standards. His expertise includes framing, window and door installation, full kitchen and bathroom remodels, and structural repairs related to dry rot and water damage. He is also highly proficient in fabrication, with the ability to create custom solutions using wood, metal, and other materials to meet unique project needs. Robert spent over a decade with Procraft Industries, where he specialized in window installations, remodeling, and structural restoration. In addition, as an independent contractor, he has successfully managed residential projects, built decks and custom finishes, and maintained strong client relationships through reliable service and consistent results. In his role with Sound Property Management, Robert has provided maintenance and emergency repair services, further showcasing his adaptability and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments. His work emphasizes safety, efficiency, and minimal disruption to tenants. Recognized for his strong work ethic, organization, and positive, solutions-focused attitude, Robert is a dependable team player who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe job sites and exceeding client expectations. His broad skill set, combined with his mechanical aptitude and commitment to excellence, makes him a valuable asset on any project.
